Hi :)
Hi everyone
My name is Vivien (as you can see from my username... I have such a great imagination! ). I have 7 bunnies of my own. 5 orange nethies and 2 cross breeds. I also foster for Buddies Bunny Rescue, currently only for 4 bunnies. Have joined here to chat about bunnies, help out if I can, and also to put up some of the buns my rescue are looking to rehome
Buddies Bunny Rescue is quite new, we are based in Midlothian, near Edinburgh, though have alot of fosterers in West Lothian. We started on the 1st of june this year and since then have had
59 rabbits through the door
14 homed
6 died/put to sleep (on vet adv)
2 returned to owners
2 became residents
35 still in our care in which 7 are reserved so
28 still looking for loving forever homes!
We have attended 3 car boot sales so far, and plan on another near Christmas. We sell items donated to us and the money raised helps greatly towards vaccs and spays/neuters.
We have got the website up and running (Buddies Bunny Rescue dot com ) and a very busy facebook page with lots of info on not just our rabbits but general rabbit info ( search Buddies bunny rescue), and we are also now on twitter! ( search @Buddies_Bunnies )
Last week Natalie and Emma (founders) had a stand at Pets at home as part of their Adoption Awareness Week. Promoting rabbit welfare, Buddies rescue and generally raising awareness about rabbits and thier care
Last weekend some of us went off to the Rabbit Welfare Conference 'Rabbit Health Matters'. Learning even more so we can help our bunnies better
Also we are in the begginings of starting the process to apply to be a registered charity!
anyway will update as much as I can on the goings on , and you will no doubt see some pics of our lovely buns looking for new homes

Re: Hi :)
Hi Vivien, welcome to HH
Lovely to hear about you and your buns.
One of the admin team, Jay was also at the RWAF conference. He said it was a brilliant event.
Make sure to have a look at our Rabbits in Rescue section where we are compiling a directory of rescues. You can add information about your rescue to the template there and post the details.
