Your pain free now Cookie.

Some of you may know that cookie was ill for a while and I was worried about her last time I was online but after the worst year in a long time I havnt really been on. I dont want to go into huge detail but it was her back that was in pain meaning she couldnt wash her bum but the last few weeks she went majorly down hill even on her pain medication which had already been increased she wouldnt even move to do the toilet just sit in it leaving her filthy and raw even if washed each day. The life had gone from her little eyes so I decided for her sake to have her put to sleep last night, on seeing the vet last night during a check up she was clearly in more pain than usual and apparently there was a widening gap in her spine. As much as I am upset to loose her I am relieved for her because I could see each day the pain she was in. She will be cremated and scattered with Dylan who I know she has missed dearly. RIP cookie monster!










Due to the number of losses I have had this year I am looking to cut down a bit. I need to rehome a couple and I believe that because zack has hip displacia and is feeling the cold more than the others she would benifit a lot from the warmth of an indoor home and would have to go with her best friend saphie. I had been thinking about this for about a month or 2 but after another loss it just helped me decide. At the moment its whats best for her and me. That will leave me with 4 that would bond as 1.

The next day I was sad to not see her in the morning and to see indie and peanut run around themselves was wierd because the group was originally 5. I have lost 3 before they are 3 years old to seperate illnesses suddenly but I do feel very relieved for her as I seen her several times a day in pain and trying to decided when to make the decision. Shes being cremated on tuesday and Im going to replant dylans ashes so she can be with her best buddy.
