Hello to everyone
Hi everybody,
I joined this forum the other day after Ray (sp?) from the RWA recommended it to me at the Burgess Small Animal Show on Sunday
My name is Catherine, I am 20 and currently at uni studying Finance and Accountancy. My bunny obsession started when I lost both my childhood guinea pigs to old age and my family felt I was old enough (at 17!) for the responsibility of a bunny. A little bundle of fluff entered my life in early Jan 2009 and after a few days the name Misty stuck, we kept her inside initially as she was only a baby and it was a really bad winter that year. She was a lionhead X english and a little ball of mischief! Shortly after this we decided that Misty needed a bunny friend and off we went to get Sweep - a sooty fawn dwarf lop. We kept them both inside and they had alternate run time (and some kissing through the bars) until they both moved outside, both got neutered and moved into their permanent outside setup.
Misty on the day we brought her home
Baby Sweep
All grown up
Sadly we lost Misty-Moo just before christmas, it was completely unexpected - they were free ranging the day before and she was binkying around the garden as usual and when I did the evening hay feed she was bright and alert, then my dad found her the morning after at 7am lay on the floor of the wendyhouse, she had gone to sleep forever. She was 3 years old. Sweep has coped very well with the loss but we were keen to get him a new friend as soon as possible, so the weekend before last we reserved a 3 year old BEW lionhead doe called Jenna who hasn't had the best life up until she went into rescue. We are having a homecheck on Monday and if all goes well Sweep will leave us for a week to be bonded to Jenna at the rescue. Everything crossed
I'm excited to get to know all of you and your furries and thanks for taking the time to read - I am known for rambling a bit

Re: Hello to everyone
Thankyou for all your lovely hello messages :-)
I will be sure to get some lovely pictures of Sweep this weekend before he goes away on his romantic holiday
I am very excited at the prospect of seeing him all cuddled up with a girl again, it's not been nice seeing him on his own, even if it has only been just over 5 weeks it's still too long!
