A Day In The Life Of The Original Naughty Bun

After her antics last week, she's taken things to another level. So I'm lagging on her

0630hrs
Sparky woken up and confined to the solitary so that she would be easier to round up for her vet appointment at 0830hrs.

0720hrs
Hudad is sitting in the office checking his e-mails.

0725hrs
Hudad's left monster foot slipper gets warm. And wet! Sparky has escaped from solitary and proceeded to sneak into the office to wee all over hudad's foot.

0726hrs
I cover my ears so I can't hear that funny language humans use when they are annoyed.

0728hrs
Scuffling upstairs as Sparky leads hudad on a merry chase around the bedrooms and the landing.

0745hrs
Hudad enters my lounge with Sparky in his arms. She's trying to reverse over his shoulder.

0747hrs
Sparky puts up a good fight, spreading her paws as far as she can while hudad tries to push her through the front door of her carrier.

0755hrs
Hudad gives up on the front door approach and opens the lid of the carrier. Sparky is unceremoniously plonked down inside. The lid is closed and fastened.

0757hrs
Sparky is trying to escape yet again but this time the carrier door lock foils her attempts due to her lack of opposable thumbs. She's taken away to the vets for her check up.



0758hrs
Peace and quiet



0915hrs
They're back I can see Sparky is in no mood for a chat.

0918hrs
Sparky is released from her carrier upstairs and I can hear lots of thumping and running around.

0925hrs
Hudad comes down and sits with me. He tells me that Claire is very pleased with Sparky and she was as good as gold while she was at the vets. She's up to 1.8kg now.

0945hrs
Hudad goes to check on Sparky. He finds puddles all over the office floor and a smug looking bun in the corner laughing at him.

0955hrs
After much chasing around, Sparky is put back into solitary and told she can come out when she learns to wee in her litter tray again.

1000hrs
Hudad cleans up the puddles and hoovers up the poops.

1012hrs
Sparky arrives in the office to check on hudad's progress.

1013hrs
More of that funny language a bunny should not hear.

1015hrs
I hear the gate to solitary being wedged shut again so hudad has obviously caught Sparky.

1020hrs
Hudad is on his computer in the office.

1030hrs
Sparky appears, wanting to know if she can go on eBay.

1031hrs
I consider ordering a bar of Carbolic Soap for hudad's mouth.

1035hrs
The gate to solitary is slammed shut yet again. This time hudad is clever and wedges towels in to make the gate a tighter fit.

1210hrs
That worked. Sort of. Sparky is back, dancing around hudad's feet while he's on the computer.

1235hrs
Where does Sparky get her energy from? This time she leads hudad a chase up and down the stairs as well as round the bedrooms and across the landing before he finally corners her in the bathroom.

1238hrs
Miss Sparky Houdini is once again confined to solitary and proceeds to sulk in her litter tray, pulling hay out and throwing it all over the floor.

1239hrs
Hudad reckons he's got it sussed this time.

1330hrs
Sparky is caught in the act of trying to escape. It appears that she has been using her right paw and her teeth to pull the gate inwards.....

1335hrs
Hudad reinforces the gate by placing a heavy box on the inside.

1345hrs
Sparky starts to nudge the box out of the way.

1417hrs
The box is sufficiently out of the way to proceed with the escape.

1420hrs
Crash! Down comes the gate and Sparky is free yet again.

1421hrs
Now I'm wondering if one bar of Carbolic will be enough

1425hrs
Hudad is back in my lounge. He's not impressed and he's given up

Thanks for the offer, but Humum has said (well, shrieked) that I'm not even allowed to have one, let alone get an innocent party involved in the acquisition of it. I wish she'd stop snooping on my laptop

Bruce says he fancies one of those. He has seen the bunny advertising it on the telly and has always wanted to know what it is all about. When is the party?

Oh Sparky what antics you get up to in the space of a few short hours! I can just imagine the repeated reinforcements of the jail.

D'you know Sparky, I could probably pick your Hudad out of an identity parade without actually having seen him. He'd be the one with a twitch and a wet smelly foot.

And the odd bits of hay stuck to the back of his trouser leg/in his hair.

I see Sparky gets her humor from her dad. And takes out her nortiness oh hudad. So much energy on such a tiny bunny!
