Charlie one of our big Chinchilla bunnies is not so good he is sneezing and quite wheezy Mike is just giving him
some Metacam, he will have to go to the vet's tomorrow

Taking him to the Emergency vet his eyes are running and he has a discharge from his nose and I think it could be blocked tear duct's or a nasal infection but I think he's better seeing a vet tonight to be on the safe side

Charlie has polyps up his nose, if they are in the entrance of the nose our vet may be able to remove them, if they go up the nose they can't be removed he is back on Tuesday for our vet to have a good look but at the moment it's not looking good, if they can't be removed he will have to be pts as they are all ready badly infected and they will grow bigger and he won't be able to breathe.

If he has to be pts I will be devastated as he is a happy bunny that is healthy in every other aspect and this doesn't seem fair but then when has life ever been fair

Could they not fit Charlie with tubes up his nostrils to bypass the polyps and help his breathing? If humans can have tubes, surely buns can?

I don't think so Father Jack , Charlie and Ruby are Brother and Sister and both have polyps Ruby had her's on her lady bits and our vet was able to remove them last year but they can grow back but so far (touch wood) Ruby's haven't.
Charlie has polyps up his bottom and they can't be removed due to where they are and the vet did say that if they grow he may have to be pts as the bigger they got the more harm they will do but they have grown just a little.
Our vet was on duty last night at a vet's in Gateshead and so Mike took Charlie there and she turned him on his back and could see the polyps in his left and right nostril and she said there was infection at the back of them. On Tuesday she is going to give him a GA and have a good look down the nose and see if there are any more polyps behind the two she can see, if there are he will have to be pts as the polyps grow they will suffocate him. If he just has the 2 polyps in the right and left nostril in the entrance of his nose she can remove them but they may grow back but it's a chance you have to take, she gave him a penicillin injection to last till Tuesday but he is constantly sneezing and his eyes are watering yet he is alert and eating.
So we are praying it's just the two polyps but knowing how much luck we have I'm not holding my breath
