Dougal Has A New Trick

Every morning when I get up I have a nice chat with the bunnies about their night. Well I thought it was nice anyway, this morning I was chatting away when Dougal picked up the food bowl with his teeth, carried it a bit, put it down, then nudged it over to me

I took the hint!!

There was me thinking they enjoyed the morning chats as much as I do!! They just binky because they are going to get pellets

What a clever boy! I am assuming there were none left and he wasn't offering them around.

that's so adorable. I swear Nibbler is only excited to see me some days after work because he thinks he's going to be fed!

The bowl was empty! He was definitely trying to prove a point! Dougal doesn't do sharing, he will run off with treats and eat them somewhere else so no one can steal them.

Maybe tomorrow I'll feed first then chat! Although I'm not getting up as early as normal tomorrow as I have doctors first thing so I'll probably get thumping sounds instead

Aww. Poor Dougal. I'll bet he had a hard life before you and Florence stepped into his. Probably why he will take a piece of food and run with it. Now he self-assured enough to tell you he needs food. He is such a love!

It was quite cute! "Oi Mummy, shut up would you I want my breakfast"

We've been out all evening and he was so happy when we got home. You're probably right Holly, he probably never had such luxury before.

When we were at the rescue the other day, the rescue lady told him how lucky he is to live with me and Florence. It made my day! I always dwell on what I can't give them, ie a run outside, rather than what I can. I suppose they are both lucky when you think about it, but what's the point of having pets if you can't give them a good life.

You give them a WONDERFUL life. Some of us just cannot have them outside. Thumper has the run of the house and is quite happy. I'm thrilled that he now will hop up and say hello to me. I didn't wake up at my usual time this am and he jumped up on my tummy, walked up and gave me a kiss right next to my mouth! "Wake up, Mommy!"

Florence and Dougal look and act so happy. And they are SO cute together!

Ha ha, if we put something in Snuffie's box and he doesn't like it he will just pick it up and throw it out. One of my other bunnies used to tip her food bowl up and Lolly the guinea pig still does. There is nothig like putting us in our place and making sure the service isn't slipping.

Thumper used to make it known when she was getting impatient for food, she'd find the nearest toy and bang off the bowl

He done it again today!!! I will admit I was up late this morning, so I guess service well and truly slipped in his mind this morning!! The bowl was nearer the sofa today, so he kept picking it up and dropping it as a hint

It is actually quite sweet, it's nice that he is confident enough to show his true feelings!!

Truly it is just cupboard love.

Sasha's discovered this morning where I put the pellets while I clear out the devastation zone in the morning. I usually pop the bowl onto the roof of the hutch, clean out their litter tray and change any wet newspaper. This morning I looked up and found Sasha on the top of the hutch getting in a sneaky bit of pre-breakfast nibbles! These two are getting really cute!

I think the worst is when you are talking to them and they do a big stretch and yawn
