I bet! He is a little darling.

Willow is much better now thank you. Her breathing is 100% back to normal and she can binky and bunny 500 everywhere without getting short of breath now which is good, hopefully the anti-biotic injection worked its magic Thumbs Up She is being a stroppy little diva at the moment though, think it is a combination of hormones (she can't be spayed), being in moult and a lack of Fenugreek Crunchies. I tell you they are a death trap, once you get started giving them to Hector he will make sure you know about it when he doesn't get them Laughing

Haha, I've seen people talking about those a lot! So I think I'm contractually obliged to buy him some, is it considered animal cruelty if I don't? Laughing

I'm glad she's feeling better, she's so gorgeous Love I saw you mention something about that, how come she couldn't be spayed (if you don't mind my asking Smile )

Oh yes it is most definitely bun cruelty to provide a life without the Fenugreek Crunchies. Willow considers it abuse Wink Laughing

Thanks for the compliment on her. Hugs

Willow is unfortunately a carrier of the condition Pasturella - not sure if you knew since you did know she had been poorly with this lately. We sent her in to be spayed but unfortunately her condition really flared up when she went under the GA (vet said it will heighten in stressful situations), and she actually stopped breathing on the operating table. pale She was very fortunately able to be resuscitated, however on the advice of my vet she is really not to go under anaesthetic unless it is a very critical situation where she must have it, despite the fact this could have been a one off and it may never happen again. This sadly puts her much more at risk of problems, she already has an increased chance of uterine cancer since she is still 'intact', and if ever she were to have dental problems in the future which may need rasping she'd be at a risk during the surgeries. We'll just have to cross our fingers that she's a very lucky bun and manages to live a healthy, full life - and if she does need to go under, that she doesn't react badly. Smile

Poor little mite Sad I hope she lives to a grand old age with no problems that require GA! I'll be a ruddy mess when Hector goes in to be neutered, but I trust my vets so hopefully he'll be fine.

Did you know she had Pasturella before she was spayed? Or have you just found out recently (when you took her to the vets) and made the connection?

We weren't aware she had the Pasturella when she went in to be spayed. After her episode under the GA, the vet said she most likely had Pasturella and this caused it. She said it shouldn't create any problems for her in day-to-day life (a large amount of buns actually carry the condition dormantly). However, not long after her episode she seemed to be struggling for breath whenever she did anything that exerted her. So, we took her in to the vets, they had a listen to her lungs and, taking in to consideration the incident when she went to be spayed, she was diagnosed and treated for it.

Try not to worry about little Hector (I know it's hard, I was a wreck). But if you trust your vet that should help, and take comfort in the fact that most buns are neutered very successfully. And boys heal even quicker Thumbs Up

It is so hard not to run out isn't it Jo! Willow gets through them so quickly, and if she knew I gave 1/3 of the pack to my chinchillas she would not be very happy with her hoomin Laughing
