Combi vaccination timing issue.... U/D

Although my vets recommend myxi vaccinations annually, Molly and Junior should be due a 6 monthly booster by now.

Their VHD isn't due until early to mid march.

I've read that they could be given the combi now, even though VHD isn't due??

Just wondering how many hopper buns have had the combi done long before VHD is due?

I don't want to be taking any unnecessary risks...

I plan to give my to the combi in March despite only having the vhd in oct.

I think I'm going to have a fight on my hands getting the vet to actually do it though

RWAF it is ok so that is all the info I need to tell my vet to do it. It more of a risk to leave the buns open to myxi than to over vaccinate for VHD.

Mine all had theirs early. They had the combi vaccine whenever either vaccine became due.

I'm just looking at my examples:
I got Barnaby in December so he had both singles in December but he had the combined vaccine in June. Binky also had combined vaccine in July having had both singles in January. .... and their vet is Frances Harcourt-Brown if you need to name names to strengthen you case

My vet said that even if the VHD jab isn't due, it is better to do it early so that the bun is covered for myxi, especially at the onset of Spring when myxi is at its worst.

Binky had the combo sweets, but it was his first injection.
