When Reggie met Max

The hu-parents weren't really intending for Max and Reggie to meet yet, as Max is only two weeks post-neuter. But with lodger bun moving house, Reggie's run could be finished and all she needed was a bridge across to it with the tunnel attached. Which meant putting a big hole in the side of the hutch. Which meant moving Reggie out of it while Hudad got to work. Which led Humum to think 'Hmmm, this run has new turf down so should not smell of anybun, what a fab bonding space it would make' and decide to hoik Max from his afternoon snooze and pop them in together.


Reggie: 'What is that?!?'
Max: 'nomnomnom'





Reggie: 'Take it away'
Max: 'nomnomnom'





Reggie: 'Fine, I'll feign noncholance'
Max: 'nomnomnom'





Reggie: 'I'll sneak up on it'
Max: *post-nom wash*







Reggie: 'Odd, it smells like a rabbit'
Max: 'Well, helloooo'  






Reggie: 'I think it might be a rabbit. But what's with those ears?!?'
Max: 'You're sitting on the noms' 





Smudge and Graham were not impressed with their new neighbours. Max just tried to chin them through the mesh  





Poirot gave him a bit more of a polite welcome.





They've put them to bed separately as Reggie was still being a bit flighty, but Humum was confident enough to leave them for a while earlier so she could come in and do veggies. Then saw Reggie through Theo's window as she did a massive binky across the run. Max is so laid-back it's ridiculous. Reggie lunged at him a couple of times at first, and he'd just take a couple of hops away then nibble at the grass again. Max is still spraying wee a bit too enthusiastically (Humum had to have a bath  ) and Reggie is not keen on being chinned on the head  but Humum thinks this could be a good match  




It's Poppy and Mason who will give her sleepless nights

Reggie did calm down a lot more later, and was nomming *near* Max but not right next to Max. Not calm enough to be left together yet, but good signs  

Why poor Poppy? She's going to get a Mason all to herself. Can you imagine the havoc that will ensue?

None yet, the hu-parents have taken advantage of the dry weather to work very hard on the garden. They're in no rush, it won't hurt for Max's hormones to calm down a little more...

The runs are looking very smart with their new turf - pity it won't last! 

It's fabulous locally-grown, really good quality turf. The quad have had theirs for a few weeks and it's still looking really good, even when it's been wet. They do have about 6' x 12' though so perhaps big enough that no one area is getting a pounding.

You've seen the photos of that run when Gizmo and Cindy had it. It was nicely turfed when they moved in too  

Humum doesn't mind, she says turf is relatively inexpensive

Oh dear, I hope this all works out and not too much of a mess is made
