Heidi

I didn't even know this dog but I was so moved watching his story develop in the local media today that I want to write a little bit for her in our rainbow bridge.

Heidi was a Staffordshire bull terrier who lived with her family and her sidekick Bruno. From what her family have said online, one of the children left the gate open this morning and unfortunately Heidi was on heat and made a run for it, with her sidekick in tow. They stuck together and managed to get a fair distance from home while their owners were out searching for them and were sadly struck by a truck out on a busy road heading towards the airport Apparently poor Heidi was killed outright. Bruno looks as if he is going to be ok, he was seen sitting up with the one of the policemen who attended.

Such a sad thing to happen, I've been thinking about them all day

Sleep well, Heidi. We can all only hope it was quick. Your hu-parents are absolutely devastated, and I'm certain your buddy Bruno is going to miss you most of all. xxx

Ohh, what a heart breaking story.
My thoughts are with Bruno and the hoomin parents and family.
So tragic when you loose your pet in such a way.
