Just a quick question... can bunnies eat green beans?
Thanks

I've given them to mine before but I seem to recall they are high in carbs or something else so they only got two each.

I thought they were a definite no-no. Not sure if it's because they're actually toxic or because they cause bloat, but I'm certain I've been told not to feed them.

I thought they were poisonous to humans when they are not cooked. Are "green beans" whole pods, or just the seeds?

Oooh I often munch on raw green beans, have done for years. I suspect it's one of those things where technically they are poisonous (bit like raw potato which I also love!) but that the dose for humans is so large that it rarely causes a problem?

PS I refer to them as the whole things including the pod.

I don't like green beans very much, especially not raw. And raw potatoes?? pale You sound like my friend Shawn, he ate everything raw straight from the plants in my grandfather's garden. Laughing

Shocked are we talking the ones that are round in cross section and about 3 or 4 inches long? Or maybe those are French beans I am thinking of.

Mine ADORE them, I feed the Brunei buns them as well.
