Not again, please...

Post by FluffSlave on Sun Mar 29, 2015 6:02 pm

I am a bit worried about Mr Mo Sad

He just seems a bit 'off'. There's been a bit of carnage this weekend with the new build (see Property Ladder) and the chinchillas moving back in, so it could just be that, but he's not overly keen on eating.

He didn't want any treats offered to him but picked at some curly kale and wolfed down some grass. He seems fairly active still and isn't sitting hunched, flat etc.

I am just terrified he's going to have another stasis episode all the time Sad

Please send top up vibes that it's just the upheaval and he'll be ok. Thank you guys Hugs

Loads of vibes coming your way.

Rosie has been off today, but she had her vaccination yesterday so I have put it down to that. I haven't seen her eat properly today but she has just accepted a carroty so I am hoping all is now well. Bunnies are too worrisome at times.

I know exactly what you mean sunni...with my three being perm ill, I never get a day off from the worry.... but, I wouldn't swap them for the world.

I expect that this is the upheaval hun, together with the movement with the clocks... they are creatures of habit and don't like change at all.

Eating grass is really good for keeping the tummy topped up with good fibre :-)

Thank you all Hugs

He's since taken some treats and eaten some herby mix. I'm thinking it is *hopefully* just the change in his routine and he'll be back to himself in the morning. Will see how he goes with his pellets in a bit...

It can be caused by a lot of things bunnyboy - stress, heat, but most commonly, a lack of fibre in the diet.

When either of my two get it I know I have probably gone a bit overboard on the treats/veggies/pellets and I will cut all of that out and just give them hay until poops go back to normal Thumbs Up

If it continues for more than a few days on hay only though, it could be something else and it is worth seeing a vet.

Willow is fine again now - they hay trick worked as always (although she didn't approve!) Laughing
