You could try him with one of these beds to see if it will comfort him -https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/thehareapparent

He has one, I got them one for Xmas a couple of years ago and they never use it. MJ still just moves it away if I put in a more usable position. I wondered about getting him another bed, but they had a covered soft bed and a tent and they only got used as punching bags so I'm not sure if another bed would be any better. He does have numerous soft blankets for sitting/lying on, and an Ikea bed but he's not been on that at all recently.

just reading a thread on another forum, someone concerned because their rabbit eats rubber.

funny, the silly little things. MJ isn't too interested in rubber... but we still keep the remotes face down. It was frustrating at the time, but I really miss her destruction, it was so much fun for her. She'd shake her head and binky away whenever we told her off.

I ordered a thank you card for my vet, I thought about a pic of T... but somehow that didn't seem right, neither did something off the shelf in the shops. So I ended up picking a design that was available for download from DeviantArt of El-ahrairah and the black rabbit of Inlé from Watership Down.

Got MJ a big fluffy bed from Aldi during the week, only time he's been in it is when I've put herbs in it.

He's spending most of his time on the footrest, he's spent more time there in the last week or so in the entire time we've had him. I guess he's feeling lonely still, he could go a step further and be on the sofa where we could comfortably reach him and pet him but then that wouldn't be very bunly. Better to be just out of reach, even though he really does want petted.

His right eye has been watering badly recently, he's not managing to keep it clean and despite our best efforts we're not able to to dry it so its wet all the time. I emailed the vet who did his surgery, the eye specialist at the vet school here was meant to be contacting him. He has no recollection of her contacting him... I told him he was on the Azopt 3x per day as they believe his eye pressures are high and the Maxidex once per day which he knows about as he'll be on that for the rest of his life. He's advised that the Azopt can sting and cause the eyes to water, so that'll be why. We're seeing the eye specialist at the vet school again on Monday and an exotics vet at the same time so I'll mention about his eye watering (although its perfectly obvious from looking at him anyway). Hopefully they'll be able to reduce the Azopt because the fur round his eye being soaking wet all the time can't be good.

The vet who did the surgery is doing a free check up/consultation for all rabbits who have had the lens replacement surgery on sat 14th Nov, I would really like to go but I don't know if travelling the 400miles to London after work on a friday is realistically possible, both in terms of logistics or travelling for MJ Sad Not that I doubt the abilities of eye specialist vets up here but the vet in London is the only vet in the country that actually does this surgery on rabbits and so obviously knows more about it.

Oh bless him it does sound as if he is a bit lonely hunni and I am sorry that his eye is not improving.   I can understand your doubts about travelling to London, which is a trial at the best of times, on a friday after work.  Is there an appointment system or is it first come first served?

Had check up with the eye specialist at the **** vet today, his eye pressures have gone down but they're still higher than before surgery so she wants to keep him on the 3x azopt a day.

He also had a wee check up with the exotics vet, he weighs 1.93kg his last weight in at my vet was 2kg so he's lost a bit of weight. She checked his tummy and teeth, both of which were fine.

In more positive news we got the result from his last blood test and his IGG now shows no active EC infection, finally. We'll get another blood test in 6 months just to keep an eye on things.

This was the first time he has travelled alone since we got him, he is very small in the carrier alone. The journey through was stressful for him and he was standing for most of it. On the way back he lay down, now he's home he's not eating too much. I guess its harder to get over a stressful day without T to comfort him. He's sitting nearby but doesn't seem to keen on being petted.

Re the London consultation, they'd probably have appointments but there is only about a dozen rabbits in the country have had the surgery so it wouldn't be too busy anyway. Its a 6hr drive so we wouldn't get there until midnight on friday at the earliest :/ We'd also need to get a hotel, we stayed with my OH's parents last time but they are an hour away from the vets.

h lovey, I am sorry you are having so much trouble and I hope he will start to eat again soon.  I can understand his being distressed after any journey now he is alone but he will be fine with all the comforts he is getting from you.  The whole London things sounds very expensive, hotels and such so I am pleased to hear you have the option of staying with your parents even though they are an hour away.  Please let us know what you decide to do. Poor MJ. Life can be a right ***** at times. That little fella has had enough to cope with without the prospect of such an ordeal. Fingers crossed something will turn up and save him that.
