Re: Chomp chomp
Loll once got entangled in all the cabling behind the TV (my fault for forgetting to block it off) and he bit through the TV mains lead, but just left me enough to reattach the plug and make it okay. He also neatly severed the strap on a new shoulder bag which I managed to repair with a few stitches and some electrical tape! He also chewed a hole in the middle of a wicker laundry basket. That was his total.
Riley did nothing.
Clawed did nothing ... except chew off the dogs whiskers on the right side of her muzzle. Not my problem... Misty grew a new set!
Henry loves shoe laces.

Re: Chomp chomp
MANY cables, mostly laptop chargers but also a few phone chargers and the cable to the wii bar thing. We also had a very expensive cable chewed (can't remember what its for, hi fi probably), fortunately it was chewed at the end so we were able to take the cable to the shop and just have it shortened. The footrest (black) has holes (exposing the yellow foam) on 3 corners, that was T. Some plaster off the walls, remote controls buttons (although we've not had to replace the remotes).
Biggest thing we've had to replace is the living room carpet. T had chewed a few holes in corners, MJ chewed a big hole right in the middle.

Casey, one of my hamsters (no hamsters now) took all four corners off the bathroom carpet, sculpted them very neatly and practically all the same size! She also dug though the plaster to the bricks in my built in wardrobe when she made a food cache there.

Re: Chomp chomp
Oh yes I can see it LOL!! Â We gave up on carpets a long time ago as our Mr Snuffles used t love digging holes in them,. Â Holly is naughty on bedding and I have no doubt she would chew the computer wires if she could get to them. Â We have lost computer cables and phone lines in the past and once think a TV cable. Â Oh they certainly don't do things by halves LOL!!

Oh dear!
We've been through several rugs, enough skirting board to reach the moon and a sofa... And that's without starting on the wires!
This is why the universe made bunnies cute!

Re: Chomp chomp
Our Queen has not done to badly in the chewing and destroying area. She has gone through 2 ethernet cables and the actual intent line wire but other than that she is pretty damn good. She does not chew furniture and she has stooped trying to dig the carpets now, she tends to do this is her claws need clipping. We can leave her out free ranging all night and when we go out too ( rarely she is left) but sometimes we have to and she does not damage a thing. She has stopped eating her Hudad now too. With the Queen she tends to be mischievous in front of you or when she is bored, she wants to play. But she is a fab house bunny, she has learnt so quickly in the 9 months we have had her. She is a happy lively bunny too.
I hope your wires etc are safe soon from pesky teeth lol.

Re: Chomp chomp
Everything
Thumper wasn't too bad, in comparison to the norty pair! She got through a fair few phone cables. She chewed my mum's curtains when we still lived there. Nibbled the back of the sofa. Her worst foible by far was chomping through my GHD's. I'd had them 2 days. 2 days!!!!
Molly and Junior eat everything in their path. Particularly Molly. They've chewed more cables than I care to remember. My internet cable is currently held together with tape because it runs from the wall, under the carpet, under the sofa, behind a skirting board, behind the wall and into my utility room. Major job to put right.
They've chewed skirting boards, doors, the wooden bits at the bottom of wardrobes that the door runners are on, the corner of my sofa, the wooden bits the run up the side of the stairs. Pretty much everything with a corner
The most irritating for me, by far, is her carpet chewing. It. Drives. Me. Spare.

Re: Chomp chomp
Casey made short shrift of the wall in my wardrobe, straight through the plaster to the bricks and she was attacking the mortar when I discovered what she was doing. I called her the Colditz hamster!
She was a terrific little hammy... she terrified both Misty and Clawed and I once found the gruesome remains of a mouse in her cage. It had been popping in at night for a free feed and Case caught it, all she left was the chewed pelvis and hind legs!

Re: Chomp chomp
Oh, she was a magnificent wee girl. She was fearless and very adventurous. She loved going upstairs into my bedroom and climbing up inside the back of the chest of drawers and into the drawers. And once she herded a really big spider out from under my bed and the results paled the mouse episode into nothing!
I enjoyed every moment of our time together. She was full of surprises and a very good friend to me.
