Do you think binkies are voluntary or involuntary?
Binky question
Quoted from another thread:
Do you think a bunny decides to have a binky, or is it something that just comes over them? Or a bit of both?
I hope this poll works, it's been a long time since I've done one
This is something that has always made me wonder! I've started a thread a couple of times but could never word it so it made sensec.bolduan wrote:Totally agree with is.lolKatieB wrote:I sometimes think binkies are involuntary and take them completely by surprise.

Re: Binky question
Both!
I think the binky Henry did in his litter tray was a surprise to us both.... it's the kind of binky I call a Zebedee as it's as if a spring as just gone Boing!
Loll did the most incredible binkies during his Bunny 500's that I called flying or Nijinsky binkies as they looked like a ballet dancers manoeuvres. He would almost turn full circle in mid-air and some of his binkies were nearly three feet high. These were most definitely part of his "routine".
Then there are the half binkies.... those little head shakes with the front paw bounces. I love these as I can instigate them by using my "Binky Voice". I call these Mummy Binkies.

Re: Binky question
I agree both. Bruce rarely binkies these days due to his age but when he does there is a lot of determined effort that goes into it. Flo sometimes does her sprint around the garden binkying thing which looks as if she is in control, but at other times her head begins to twitch then her bum almost seems to spasm and she starts binkying as if she can't contain herself, or inspite of her better judgement.

Your description of Flo binkying sounds like a bucking bronco

Re: Binky question
Deffo both. There is no doubt that sometimes they decide to do it but sometimes they just have no blimmin clue and it sneaks up on them all unexpectedly. I think its like Bunny tourettes. (sp?)
I can see from the look on Daisys face sometimes that hes scared the poop out of himself! Followed usually by a glare that says its all my fault!

Re: Binky question
I think both for sure. We do certain things that are voluntary and involuntary and I think buns are the same,
