Henry O'Shaughnessy

Today, 7th October 2016, at 2-40pm Henry passed away in my arms as his vet gave him his final injection.
He had been very depressed over the last few days and his appetite was failing to the point where his poos were very small, hard and increasingly fewer in number. He was hardly touching pellet/dry food over the last week, just his wild forage and herbs and this morning he ate some wild forage for his breakfast but his tummy was making awful noises and his breathing wasn't good. I called the vet at about 1pm and Alex came out as soon as he had finished an operation.

My boy was very brave and I know he will be a valiant member of El- Ahrairah's owsla.
I miss him so, so much already.

He is being cremated and on his casket it will read:
A Lewis Carrol quote.

Woodwench, i am so so sorry to hear this. even though we all knew it was only a matter of time, it is so very sad and even i miss him already too!

i loved hearing the 'Chronicles of Henry', he had such character and i know his life will not have been in vain, and that he will have left a paw print (and more) in your heart and life, and i know your life will never be the same for having met Henry (in a good way). He was a brave, strong fighter, but even the strongest of fighters can only take so much until its time to bow out gracefully. When your time is up, its up.

Aw Woodwench I am so sorry, RIP Henry

I'm feeling really **** just now. Headache, sore eyes,sore nose. The house is so quiet and empty. I'm away to my bed in a few minutes.

Henry had an absolute blast with you. Spoiled rotten. And I will NEVER forget the story of him jumping in the bath!

It's been three weeks ........................

How can our lives go on when theirs are no longer? But somehow they do, and one day we will meet them again at the bridge where they are waiting, and it will be like we have never been apart

We manage to go on somehow don't we love, it is a mystery how sometimes? I too am praying and hoping for a meet up one day. I certainly don't want to come back to this place but I want to stay where they are and have all my babies, past present and future around me all the time.

Four weeks ... almost a month .... I can't believe how much it hurts.

I am absolutely dreading the passing of Holly as I really don't know how I will cope. I am fully in tune with what you are feeling love and just wish there was someway I could help. Please keep us posted. Keep talking to us if it helps.
