Boo, my little man - gone to Rainbow Bridge 16.10.08
It has taken me a week to think of what to write but I know that no words will ever explain the heartache that I am feeling.
On 16th October at 8.15am, my little man Boo sadly passed to Rainbow Bridge.
I got him from Sooz about 18 months ago and I will never forget sitting at work trawling through al the rescue buns, trying to find one to bond with Angel. As soon as i saw his picture, i knew he was 'The One'.
I got in touch with Sooz and about a week later i went to see him. He was in a play pen and was so inquisitive, standing on his back legs to see what all the fuss was about. I fell in love there and then and so did Mark, my OH.
He had just been neutered so we waited a few weeks before taking Angel up to Sooz's for her to bond them.
They finally came home where they had a new shed and run to call home and they loved snuggling up together. Boo made me giggle as he was always a bit randy and would run around buzzing
He had teeth problems and had to have them done under GA a couple of times. Each time he went in, my heart would be in my mouth until he was home and I could see he was ok.
Last Weds i noticed he seemed to have suddenly dropped a tremendous amount of weight and on Thursday morning i had to rush him to the vets in my PJ's as he was a bag of bones.
He was very limp and had no energy to move. The vet said there was nothing that could be done.
I cried my heart out, trying to decide what to do. But having told the vet that money was not an issue, he said the only thing was to let Boo go peacefully.
I cried and cried as I held him and kissed him one last time and told him that i would always love him. I told him I was so sorry and that I would look after Angel for him.
He went to the bridge at 8.15am.
I called Mark who rushed home from work and we just cried together for the loss of our beautiful little man who had given us so much love.
Boo, I will never forget you and no bun will ever be able to replace you.
You will always be in our hearts and I am so glad you were mine, even if only for a short time. You could have had so many years ahead of you, but it was not meant to be.
Angel is missing you very much and could not work out where you had gone, and Daddy was so upset that he did not get to see you one last time.
I am crying as a write this as you meant the world to me but we will be reunited one day. I just hope you remember me. Am saving up nose kisses until that time.
Sleep tight my special little man.
