More Magoo
Mr. Magoo peeking at what I'm doing
I've been trying to get one of him cleaning himself for ages but he's too quick! This is the best I've managed so far
I gave him a box to play with yesterday and he's bonded with it quite well! He sits in it and chews the inside as you can see from the pics
He flopped down so hard that the box actually moved!

Re: More Magoo
We got him from 'pets at home'. Was a bit of a palava really. We originally went to get two. We were told they wouldn't sell 2 boys together (which I knew) but then they said they don't recommend having 2 girls together either cos of fighting at a later date. I pointed out that it was a bit pointless having a sign up saying 2 rabbits for £39 when you don't recommend keeping them together! Anyway, we chose 2 girls but then found they were netherland dwarves which I know aren't the best to be kept with children so I decided on the dwarf lops which were all boys. I chose one which the lady went to pick up and then told me it was half netherland dwarf! So I chose Mr. Maggo (OH was happy cos he was the one he chose immediately!) Then the lady went on about how rabbits don't make very good children's pets and don't like to be touched! I didn't let that put me off though cos I'd done much research before hand.
But it turns out, after all that, that it was fate cos he has fitted in so well

Re: More Magoo
BTW if you are thinking of getting Mr Magoo a wife at some point, don't foregt our rescue section
Re: More Magoo
I have heard that before
I think if we did get a partner for Mr. Magoo we would def. look into rescuing. We got him from a pet shop mainly because we didn't know much else! I'm afraid I was very much one of those people that think a rabbit is bought and then kept in the garden, needing minimal attention. How wrong was I?!
I didn't bet on falling in love with him as soon as I got him home either!

Re: More Magoo
Well I am so glad you did fall in love with him (rightly so he is gorgeous) and dont you find now your eyes are opened to rabbits that there is this whole new world kind of too? I really appreciated learning all of that.

Re: More Magoo
I understand exactly what you mean. There's so much I never knew or understood. It's similar to when you have your first child. Usually the parent/child world is like this sealed off part that you only hear or read about but it doesn't touch you. Then afterwards this whole world is open and new and exciting. It's similar with bunnies:) Now I look at pics of bunnies and it's like I see them clearer. I see their personalities.

Hes LOVELY! I think you made a great choice with him. I have a netherland dwarf rescue from RSPCA and he is the grumpiest, moodies boy you have ever met lol Definatly not one for children, he was a cruelty case and is 10this year but his teeth are still in tip top condition...just ask my dads best sweater!!
