RWAF Fly Strike Survey
I have received this from the RWAF this morning. The Royal Veterinary College are carrying out a survey on flystrike in an attempt to work out if certain rabbits are more susceptible and if so why. It only takes 5 mins or so to fill in

There will be a second survey later in the year, if your bunny has suffered from flystrike
The survey is being sponsored by Thehayexperts and the RWAF and there is a draw with prizes up for grabs

Re: RWAF Fly Strike Survey
How interesting, I wonder why a breed would be more succeptable?
Is this only if you've had a bun with flystrike or not - don't want to go through registration unneccassarily

Re: RWAF Fly Strike Survey
I would imagine breeds prone to dental problems, larger breeds which are prone to arthritis and muscular weakness and also those prone to obesity would be higher risk along with the sick & elderly.

This questionnaire is for all of us initially, it asks about the rabbit, their accommodation, run time, food etc
There will be a second questionnaire later in the year for those whose rabbits have suffered with flystrike.

Re: RWAF Fly Strike Survey
I have am interesting theory about flystrike, I have had two bunnies get flystrike, both realised before any damage was done (egg stage) and they both had cancer, one was diagnosed and one wasn't, spoke to another sanctuary who had the same problem and theirs had cancer too
Makes you wonder doesn't it, nature works in mysterious ways
