Have just had a baby wild bun brought in that some kinds found in the park. Have got everything here (as its a vets) but not sure what to do for the best.
Its v hypothermic and a bit wet so have got it snuggled up on a wheatie. Do I try to give it kitten milk or we have some fluids I can warm up and give it subcut.

HELP!!

Has little one made it through the night Helen confused

The more I have been thinking about it the more convinced I am that the rabbit should already be weaned and probably isn't eating through stress.

Sorry for the late reply I haven't had chance as am revising for my vet nurse exams tomorrow.

I'm afraid he didn't make it through, I went own at 3am to check on him and feed im if necessary and he'd gone. He was very hypothernic when he came in and no doubt shocked and I think it was too much for him.

Sooz if he was as old as you thought then I think he should have been moving around more than he was even if he was in shock. His back legs didn't seem to be up to much and he'd just flop over whenever I tried to prop him up.

Sorry baby bun Sad

If he was weak and in shock then he would not have been up to moving much, especially if he was hypothermic. The natural instinct is for them to stay still when you are about too. He may even have had a spinal injury or something equally as debilitating. Sad
