Freedom...U/D - Gone!!!
I set up a super huge pen in the Garden today. I let Jess and her babies have a run around, normally I don't let them out of their aviary, as they can jump the pen, or dig underneath, but as I was in with them I decided to take the risk as the pen was really really big (4 puppy pens connected) I figured they wouldn't get so bored - and they really needed some new pictures taking!!!!
I hope they are irresistible to the person interested - they deserve a home together!!
Freesia and Jess to follow as they upload.......

Re: Freedom...U/D - Gone!!!
They are so cute, what's their story? I've always wanted a colony of rabbits running freely in my garden! I think the second Fido one is my fave

Re: Freedom...U/D - Gone!!!
Back in January I went to fetch 20 odd g'pigs that had been dumped in preston. While I was there I said to the lady oh you have a rabbit too, and they said no that it was a wild rabbit that someone had set free. I could easily see she was a domestic dutch and walked over and picked her up. Her ear was a mess all torn and sore. So after asking around, one of the houses admitted to setting her free as she was wild and vicious So I brought her back with the piggies and she became my honeybunny foster. We called her Jess and I suspected she was pregnant, and about 2 weeks later, along came Fido, Fairlight and Freesia. I believe they are crossed with wild rabbits, I think thats how Jess got a torn ear.
They are very athletic, and very timid, I have handled them every day, and it hasn't helped much, but they are easy to hold, and not vicious, it's just the catching which is fun. They were separated from about 10 weeks, and mum was spayed, but almost died after, however we pulled her through. then her daughters were spayed and the 3 lived together and the two girls were sooo happy to be reunited, the connection between them all is crazy.
About a week later while cleaning them out Fido jumped out the top of the hutch to join his mum and sisters again the bond between them was totally crazy I made me cry watching how happy they were to be back together.
So now they are living as a four in an Aviary in my garden as fosters I can't offer them the space and security they need as such a big group for the long term, though they have been with me coming on a year soon. Being so athletic they can escape from anything they can jump the 6ft to get out, they dig under pens, it's scary
Fido hasn't developed any boy bits, and is going in for sugery in the next week or two to be sorted out, and then hopefully (I am praying very hard) someone will take the 4 of them on, they won't be easy, and will cost a lot of money to make the right sort of setup. But it would break their hearts and mine to see them separated., their bond its amazing.

What is it with the bunnies you foster???
They look wonderful as a group, I so hope someone can take them on as a group, it would be so very sad to have to split them up.

I *cough cough* might be the person interested in giving these 4 a home... I have joined this forum this evening to introduce myself and pm Kirsty but I am not allowed to pm... HMPH.:: I will say that the pictures are wonderful and certainly sold them to me. I have a few questions and things about them but would hope it won't be too long before they can come to their home here - all being well.
Kirsty, can you possibly pm me your email address please please please?

So lovely that they are all going to stay together. That is magic because they seem so attached. You'll have to stay on HH now and keep us updated with lots of photos of them.
