Fur question Empty Fur question

Is this a possibility or am I just going crazy? Hmmm

In the past week or so I've noticed that Brynn's fur has gotten VERY soft on her back. Her bum is still the same as it's always been. Also, where it is super soft on her back it seems to be a shade darker (on the carmely parts). Just by looking you can notice the difference between the type of hair from one area to another.

Is she just molting or losing her baby hair or something?

Wolfie has the most wonderfully soft fur just between his ears at the back. It is lovely to stroke. Mine have different textures of fur. Gloria's is coarser and not as silky. Wolfie and Felix have very satiny fur.

Buns often have a lighter coloured thinner coat in the summer to the winter one so it's likely she is getting her thicker, darker winter coat through now. Also in the summer they do have a tendancy to get 'bleached' by the sunlight....in black bunnies it's called rusting.

With mine the bun is that last bit to moult,, so perhaps that's why?
Berts has just finished a very long moult and his winter coat is soooo plush! He bleaches in the summer too!
