Hello from a total newbie!!
Hi there! I am angela from Scotland and I'm a complete newbie to hh and to the bunny world in general! I currently have no bunnies but am looking for advice on how to get started! I want to house at least one or two bunnies in a safe, spacious environment and I can't wait to get started! Hopefully with some of your help!! See you on the boards! :-D xx

Re: Hello from a total newbie!!
Hi Angela, welcome to HH
We have lots of people with loads of experience and others just new like yourself. Check out the information threads which cover a lot of the areas that you are interested in.
We have quite a few rescues on this site and would suggest that you consider adopting a rabbit rather than buying one. Rescues can help with bonding and often a bun is already neutered and vaccinated saving you the worry and cost in the first place.
As for housing, buy the very biggest you can afford. It depends on how big your rabbits are, but be aware that many of the hutches in mainstream pet shops/stores are on the small side.
Hoping to see you posting.

Re: Hello from a total newbie!!
HI Angela and welcome to HH I'm really glad you've thought to ask before you bring bunnys home
Watever hutch you get, it needs to be big for 2 bunnies. The will also need a run attached, even if they have roam free time in the garden.
Another member recommended www.rehutches.com.
Our You tube channel has a video on housing, which will give you the info you need for deciding on accommodation click here
Please ask for any more help

Re: Hello from a total newbie!!
Hi Angela,
Welcome to HH.
Its always lovely to have new members.
There are always buns looking for homes being posted on the site and some of the bunny fosterers etc do bunny runs to help deliver these gorgeous boys and girls to new homes. They are all gorgeous and all need someone to love them.
Im little help on the hutch front as mine is a house bunny, but I know that they need lots of space and two buns is definately better than one. (although that does mean you need even more space).
Once again, welcome to the forum.
Katie

Re: Hello from a total newbie!!
Welcome aboard! I would just like to say that it is great that you are researching this complex animal before getting involved as I think quite often people get rabbits without realising how much is involved in caring for them and ensuring that their happiness is the primary concern. You will find all the advice and information you need here. Ask away if there is anything you want to know and good luck with your bunny search. xxx
