Furby is getting a wife!!!

My poor lonely Furby is soon going to be a happily married Furby (hopefully).

Angie at BARC has kindly agreed to let a small bun found as part of a group in a wood near her come and join my fur family as Furby's wife. The little bun started her journey today and I will meet Kirsty (from another forum) some time next week to bring her to meet her husbun.

Furby is Very Excited. He says it will be lovely to have somebun to share his toys with as it is no fun playing alone. He is a little anxious about having to share his blankie but I bought two new ones last week so Little Bun (who has no name as yet) can have one of her own. Furby was very relieved about this. He loves his blankie - having it with him when he goes to the vet makes it so much less scary.

I just hope bonding goes well.

I'm really pleased as I have been worrying about Furby as he looks so sad in his run all alone. He is eating properly again now too

I collected Furby's wife today from Tot Hill Services, along with two frenchie babies for a member of another forum. The journey there was awful - nose to tail in parts and I was late meeting Kirsty but the traffic her end had been just as bad and we arrived at the same time.

My new fur baby is gorgeous - a Himalayan bun. She is about four months and had been with her three siblings so I feel really sad for her being all alone now. She is in a smallish hutch but is quite tiny so looks a bit lost in there. I was worried about it being too small but now think it's a good thing as she can burrow in the straw and keep warm.

I am taking Pippa for her spay tomorrow and will book the new bun in for a vet check and, if all is OK, may start bonding her at the weekend. The trouble is I work such long hours I don't get concentrated periods of time at home, just the odd hour here and there. Furby is lonely and I don't want to keep the new bun on her own for long so I need to bond asap.

I'm also concerned about them both coming indoors but my house is very cold without the heating on so they should be OK. I will have to wear lots of layers to keep myself warm or I won't be able to sleep. I am hoping it will be an easy bond.

Haven't thought of a name for new bun yet - I would like something girlie to go with Furby. Thought of Flopsy but new bun has uppy ears so that won't work.

I will check on her before I go to bed. Hate to think of her missing her siblings so will bond her asap.

Ooh an imminent bunny wedding!!!!!! I love it! Keep us posted.
