Dr Finlay-12th September 2008

I adopted 11 year old Dr Finlay from Bobtails Rescue last year. Gisela (Bavarian Bunny) pointed him out to me when she saw his details on Bobtails Website.
Dr Finlay settled in well here



He found love and companionship from little Erin, an 8 year old Himmie whom my friend Theo (Snowy) rescued from the most dire place. Dr Finlay absolutely adored Erin and although they were only together for a few months before Erin passed away both Bunnies greatly benefitted from each others company.





After the sad passing of Erin I wanted to make sure that Dr F had another Bunny friend. So I adopted Esther from Animal Lifeline Rescue. Even though Esther is a young bouncy Bunny she was great company for Dr F and they came to love each other very much





About a month ago Dr Finlay suffered the first in a series of 3 strokes. Even though each one left him more disabled he remained very contented within himself and had a huge appetite.


Throughout this morning Dr F became very agitated and he also stopped eating. We knew that we had to let him go. At 1200hrs he slipped peacefully away with Esther by his side.

Jane, I cannot even begin to tell you how incredibly sorry I am about Dr. Finlay.

But it makes me SO happy to know that the last part of his life was spent with you, feeling loved and safe and cared for, and in the company of his beloved wifeybuns. :luv:
