Re: Daughters fighting buns
If its a boy it takes up to six weeks for the hormones to calm down. If its with a girl then remember they can be fertile for weeks afterwards too.
I would wait till the hormones are gone before re introducing if its housed with a boy. I dont know your story

[b] Hi sorry I put it on last week they are 2 males that have allways been together and then sudenly stated fighting. It was thought that because they not had there bits choped that would be causing it. She has seperated them and they are both going to the vets on Fri (hope they dont do any male braging) so just wondered how soon they could be re introduced

Re: Daughters fighting buns
Well all males will fight without being castrated regardless of always being to gether. Even neutered its no garuantee they will go back together. I wouldnt advise someone to buy 2 boys but as its happened now keep them apart until you feel the hormones have calmes. You can judge their reaction through mesh or bars first. You will need to introduce them on completely neutral territory, maybe the bathroom or a room they have never seen. If they get on the cage will need completely gutted and washed out to get rid of any smells before they can be housed together. If there is a bit of bickering then seperate and try 10 min sessions before building up the time. Sometimes it helps to take them in a car journey in a carrier as the journey scares them and they look to each other for comfort. They will probably mount each other for a while yet but they are just sorting out who is boss

Re: Daughters fighting buns
Quite a few hoppers have succesfully bonded two boys, so its still likely that they can be done.
I would definitely wait until their little hormones have calmed down and then try bonding them.
Nickie has just bonded two males so she is going to be the best person to ask.
Dont lose heart, as It can be a tricky and long process, but hopefully they will be able to love each other again.
