Kiwi fruit.. Empty Kiwi fruit..

Can our buns eat this? Thistle seemed very curious in mine last night after the fruit bowl escapade and just stole a skin of one but I took it off him before he could eat any because I wasn't sure about it! I haven't seen it on a list before, but when typing it in google a lot of people seem to be saying they can, I thought I'd ask on here to clarify this! Thanks in advance Smile

I'm fairly certain the flesh is ok, but not the seeds. Buns shouldn't eat seeds, but I can't remember why, something to do with them getting stuck in the digestive tract, but I hope someone else can clarify that for you, or not Embarassed

Thanks! I thought it might be something like that, I had another one last night and Thistle was very disinterested in it tho, I'm starting to think when he stole the skin out of the bowl he thought it was actually a piece of banana in his haste then realised his mistake as he settled down to eat it Laughing

Also does the seed thing count for strawberrys? As their seed are on the outside of the fruit....I don't give them these things often but it's interesting to know for the future.

I was gonna ask the same question about the strawberry seeds? Roo adores strawberries, but it was when I noticed Mishka rat picking the seeds off before she ate her piece scratch If it turns out strawberry seeds are bad for em, I shall just hand it to Mishka first so she can take the seeds off for her Wink

AFAIK, Buns can have strawberry tops, but the fruit is not recommended, again because of the seeds Smile
