Devon and Cornwall Hopper Group
Helo my friends
I realy don't know why I didn't mention this before, but I am part of a super Hopper Group which operates in Devon and Cornwall. We have about 8 members so far but if anyone lives in these two counties and would like to join, you would be so very welcome We take it in turn to host meetings although it is usually our lovely founder Sharon who does this, she lives in Saltash. We also have rabbit welfare awareness days in various pet shops and our next is at the Liskeard Pets at Home on 16th April.
You would be made very welcome.

I believe there are Hopper Groups all over the country, Rabbiting On usually prints a list of them. If however you are having trouble, I will see what I can find out.

Sarah love, you would be so very welcome. Our next awareness day is on April 16th at Liskeard Pets at Home. Would you like to meet us there or perhaps meet me beforehand? The event starts at about 10.00 and don't worry, we stagger it so no one has to stay all day. I am not very well and get very tired but I wouldn't miss mt for anything.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Devon and Cornwall Hopper Group
I'd love to help at the Liskeard one, but not sure I can get down there yet. I'll have to let you know nearer the time I can probably attend a meet before hand.
Can I just ask, what are the age range of the members? (hope that's not too personal!)

Are you worried that it will be like the Exeter group, where everyone was at least 20 years older
than you Sarah, or in my case 30 years older?

Re: Devon and Cornwall Hopper Group
It is a good question love and not personal at all. I would say the youngest person is 28, I don't know everyone's actual age but I can understand your wanting to know. I am 53, hubby is 50. Sharon, who I always think of as our leader is 57. There is Carol and Cheryl who I think are in their thirties and Suzanne who does not always attend because she comes from Barnstable and she has a young child. Sometimes he comes too and it is lovely.
Don;t worry about not being able to host, I can't either due to lack of space. We have hutches in our main room at the moment and they take up quite a lot of room.
We are not having a meeting before April 16th so the next time we see each other will be at Pets at Home on that day.
If you wo uld feel more commfortable meeting me before, please let me know. Do you drive love?
Squeak soon.

Thanks for getting back to me, you all sound lovely
I'd be happy to meet you before hand, but I don't mind either way. unfortunately I don't drive, so would have to rely on public transport or my dad to get me there.

Re: Devon and Cornwall Hopper Group
Your're welcome, it is a pleasure to write to you.
Daytime is best for us love, and we would be happy to come to you if you can just tell us when.
Evenings are not good because I am disabled and get very tired, but if you would like to let me know when it would be convenient for you, we will see if we can make that day. It will be lovely to meet you.
Hugs

Sounds like a good mix of people you have got there Jo. Wish i could get down, but I don't drive either so would probably have to get at least 4 busses from East Devon to your area, don't think it could be done in a day.

Re: Devon and Cornwall Hopper Group
Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you. If it would be easier you could meet me at my work place, (Bretonside Tropicals Plymouth) that's the main times I'm 'free' during the day. I'll be in on Thursday, 12-4 if that's any good? I'll be running the shop on my own from 12.30-2
Will be nice to meet you x

Oh dear love I am sorry, I've been there on many an occasion.
I hope you are OK and if you want someone to talk to, I am only to happy to listen.
This forum does not appear to have a "private messaging" facility but if you want to talk I will give you my e-mail address. Don't worry if you have sorted things, in fact I hope today is a new day for you in more than one sense.

Re: Devon and Cornwall Hopper Group
Thanks
Split up with my boyfriend of 2 years, so I'm just trying to get over it. Feel a bit lost, but I should be fine in a couple weeks.
