Post by peggysmum Wed Mar 09, 2011 12:34 pm

hi all i was in p@h yesterday and in there adoption bit they had a lovely orange and white dutch boy quiet young still, he looked as if he had a gummy eye, owners didnt want him anymore. i keep thinking about him ive even named him in my head (django) but i just dont know. i dont want to give pah money i know they say it is a donation to charity but is it. i know id be helping the rabbit but should i. he may ofcours ebe gone by the time i decide what to do and go back, i do rather like the dutchs and that colour , what should i do. i could ofcourse get him and pass to my friend who runs a rescue but if i get him i know i will want him. heeeeeeeeelllllpppp.

Awwww, go and get him. You can give him a wonderful home.

You may be in for a vet bill to get his eye looked into but it could just be that he has an allergy to something they are using and he just needs some tlc.

If its a donation they are after you could always explain to them that you will only make a very very small one as its going to cost you a consultation at the vets.

If he is still there when you go back it is meant to be.

Gettt him! I adopted luna from p@h the minnimum donation there was £15 and I think it went to their rescue charity...as far as I can remember scratch

If he has been brought in by a previous owner then P@H are not making the money from getting the rabbits from a breeders or such like, so I don't think it's that bad really Smile. At least he will be going to a brilliant home and you won't be always wandering what happened to that little dutchie you fell in love with ^_^

wellllllllllllllllllll, guess what django is home, he is gorgeous and really sweet.
apparently he had been attacked by the previous owners buns and they scratched his eye , they took him to pah as they didnt want him , they have been taking him to vets and his eye is now healed.. he is only 12 weeks old can you believe it i cant imagine why they bothered buying him they must have only had him a short while. i will do piccies, i just have to sort him out. he is going to become a house bunny i think.
what am i like.

He is a very cute little guy, I wouldnt worry about the space for now, as I think he will feel better in that sort of enviroment you have done there for a day or so to settle in, he will feel protected in that dog crate etc Smile

Welcome Django, he is absolutely gorgeous. It is not surprising that you fell
in love with him. My Bonnie came from P@H rescue. I don't go in there much now, as I just want to bring all the bunnies home.

He is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

What a lucky boy to have been rescued.

You shouldnt really need to bath him, just the eye.
