Advice Asap please, Rhia :o(
Just at work so apologies that this is quick. Rhia had some sort of seizure yesterday & I'm amazed she is still alive. I dont have time to go into details but we're back at the vets when I finish work, and I don't know where to go with it. She talked brain scans etc last night, Do I go ahead with this, Would bloods be helpful? I don't know whether to follow it through at our vets or go straight to Ashleigh, the specialsts? My Poor girl X

Oh goodness. I'm sending her oodles of vibes.
I think that it depends on how confident you are in your vets and whether they are honest enough to say if they don't know rather than have a guess.
I really hope she is okay x x x please let us know how she gets on x x

Thanks ladies. Only fifteen minutes til I can get home to her. I have people with her but its not the same. The latest update I had, I asked what she was doing & the reply was 'Sniffing' She cant seem to get food in fast enough though, for want of a better way to explain it, its like when someones taken drugs & just cannot shovel food in quick enough. Its all very odd. xx

I don't have any advice but I hope they find out what is wrong . Can rabbits have epilepsy? Anyway, good luck at the vets and like Katie said, go with your instincts xxxx

Poor Rhia, Ive never heard of this before in a rabbit. In humans its usually due to something unusual going on in the brain, but the person emerges from the seizure (and ive heard that they can feel hungry after) and are fine again. Keep us posted, I hope she's ok, bless her xx

Hope the vets were able to offer some ideas and treatment options for you both.
Re: Advice Asap please, Rhia :o(
Just seen the replies, Thanks for those. Rhia is doing really well, She seems to be on the up but she is still messing with her ears so I'll probably whip her down to Ashleigh & get her properly checked out/Xrays etc. Just to stop me worrying as much, as there is obviously a reason this happened. Corrina, I never knew that about people being hungry after a seizure. Rabbits are so complicated xx

Im glad that she is doing okay bless her.
You are doing the right thing getting her checked out though. If you feel something isnt quite normal, then get it looked at. Us bunny parents have a gut instinct with these things.
K x x x
PS. Extra cuddles from us please. x x
