Hay rack Empty Hay rack

so the hay rack isn't a huge problem during the day, he has a tray with all his hay and various other munchy bits and bobs in it. However, during the night and for my carpet its bit of a problem, its the gray plastic hay rack that hangs on the outside and came with the cage. Hay constantly falls out of the bottom of it and all over the floor, and at night when marsh is in the cage he digs on the side of the cage because he cant get the last bit out/its not getting out fast enough.

Just wondered what other people have used as hay racks and what they find the most effective?

I use the wire mesh ones that go on the inside of the cage, I have tried the plastic one that you have but have had the same problem with the hay going everywhere Click me ...thats the one I have, it still gets a little bit on the floor, but nowhere near as much...Also stuff one of these full of hay and hang it above her litter tray...Click me too!
And the good thing about the balls is you can take off the chain and use it as a toy to play with in the daytime, i fill it with veg and allsorts Very Happy

i have the treat ball and it is already over the litter tray lol. will have a look at the metal one, although i imagine he would still be digging on it like he does at the side of the cage, and i don't really want him doing that ... especially not at 2am like he does currently Laughing

An inside one thats easy to get at sounds like the ideal solution.

he does, well he digs at the bars spreads hay all over the cage and then i wonder why hes got no hay ..... i think he enjoys making a mess. will have to find one with wide enough spacing that he can get at the hay, but not so wide that all the hay falls out .... hmmmm
