Animal 24\7 Empty Animal 247

A friend txt me yesterday to say that animal 24\7 shown on bbc2 yesterday featured an rspca call out to rabbits in a bad way. So i watched it last night on catch up.
scenario was the very common case of 2 rabbits in small hutches with no run, filthy bedding, very over grown claws and one had an eye infection. Rspca officer intended to sieze them, but on meeting the family including the 11 yr old owner told them to make some changes and he would be back to check. So when he went back to check the bedding was clean (though the hutch still looked grim) and their claws had been cut, and they had seen the vet for the eye infection.
This was portrayed as a happy ending. No hay, 3ft hutch, muesli mix diet. Undoubtedly the rabbits were better off than before, but no where near good enough! What msg does that send to the veiwers! I understand the rspca may not have the power to impose ideal conditions, but this was far from it. There was no indication to the viewer that far more was required to meet a rabbits needs. Im so disappointed, and during rabbit awareness wk too! Sad
