Re: 2 Rabbits needing URGENT help in Sussex U/D 30/05
OK, Crawley Guinea Pig Rescue have emailed me, they use the vets that my friends sister works for (small world) which is next to the one my friend works at and it looks like they will be able to take these two bunnies.
Things are being sorted tomorrow, so will keep you updated when I hear anything.

I have had an email back from Kelly at Animal Lifeline she said if the RSPCA are going to surrender them then she can find a rescue who will take them in. She is going to send over a template of questions which will need to be filled in and then she will ask the rescues she works with if they can take them in.

Why a hutch? I mean, if it is only for a couple of weeks till June 12th, I'd say even a cage is fine...they can be left out during the day. I mean, better a cage for 2 weeks or where their path is leading them?

VT we've found them a place locally to where they are currently, provided all goes to plan tomorrow.

Ok then, let me know if anything doesn't go to plan and I will speak to Kelly again.

Just seen this thread. Well done to everyone for pulling together and saving this pair of buns who have done nothing but be misunderstood. No reason for being PTS. So glad they are going to be safe.

Re: 2 Rabbits needing URGENT help in Sussex U/D 30/05
Both bunnies went to their new foster home on sunday so they can be handled more then found a new home through the rescue.
Thanks to everyone who got involved.

Yayy so happy they were saved. All they need is time and dedication and soon they'll be lovely cuddly bunnies for somebody.

Re: 2 Rabbits needing URGENT help in Sussex U/D 30/05
Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd post a few piccies of the girls now that they have been here a while and settled. Here is The Rabbit Crossing - a small independent rescue in Surrey and the girls arrived at mine via Jenny from Crawely Guinea Pig Rescue (we work together a lot).
We've called them Pretty and Truly Scrumptious The PTS sisters.
Both have just had their VHD vaccinations and are doing really well. They are growing in confidence by the day and there is nothing wrong with them at all that a bit of patience won't sort out. They are delightful, a bit nervous but no more than any other rabbit.
They have already been added to my bunnies for adoption on Rabbitrehome and feel sure that they will find a fab forever home really soon. They are very cheeky, investigative and nosey.
Meet Pretty
And this Truly.

So pleased you were able to take them. They are both so young and deserve a chance. To PTS just because of a lack of patience and understanding by their owner is such a shame. Wishing them loving forever homes.

They are treasures that's for sure. I can't honestly understand why there was ever a question of possible PTS. They are brilliant and funny, full of life and naughty with it. So much character. I shall get more photos when I can, but they don't sill still very long.:-)
