WTF????? Any idea?

Bunnyboo and Button got along for months. Yes a little fight here and there, maybe 1 a month if so much. This morning my daughter called us in search for help. The 2 bunnies were fighting...this time nothing like they ever did (even before bonding). I didn't know bunnies could fight that wildly. Now Button is in the cage and Bunnyboo outside. They can for sure stay in the same cage or they would kill each other.
Any idea of what is going on???? No change was made in their cage or their life. I thought maybe the girls upstairs might issuing more hormones, but really this is a weird behavior. Till last night they were sleeping next each other and now they "kill at sight" enemies...????????

Oh my goodness - I think it is quite likely that now the girls have reached maturity they are letting of smells that are upsetting the boys. Although they are neutered they can still react to females.

Are they girls old enough for spaying yet. You may have to wait until after this is done and then re-bond them.

Are both boys neutered? if they are I would agree with Katie, its probably the smell of the girls, when we used to have boarders in I had to move my bunnies onto a different section of the garden, everytime we had any other bunnies in he would go mad and chase Pebbles (when they were just a pair).

I would try and keep the boys together (if they are neutered), as the longer you leave it the less likely they are to rebond. Is the hutch outside big enough for two? x

Yes, both neutered. Girls will be teaken in for surgery as soon as they turn 6 month old, which is next September.
I will try later on to put them again in the same cage, but if they still do like they did this morning, I will have no choice to keep them apart till September.
