Carpet cleaning tips????
Thumper has had 2 'accidents' this morning and I have stupidly light carpets.
Any tips for getting bunny wee out of a cream carpet? I have stuff I used to remove non-bunny stains and it's damaged the carpet a bit
Help! Pleaseeeeeeee!

Re: Carpet cleaning tips????
Sorry, I have only had bunnies in the house a couple of times. When Gloria was in the house recuperating, I blotted as much as I could with tissue and then cleaned it with 1001 carpet cleaner. But the carpet was a sandy gold colour and we replaced it fairly soon after that so can't remember how well it removed the stain.

Re: Carpet cleaning tips????
Dyzolv is a spot on cleaner and suppose to be very good I've never tried it but has been mentioned on other forums as being good for bunny wee. It's quite expensive although Dixons is quite cheap.

M&S does a Carpet & Fabric Stain cleaner and it's BUAV-approved, that is suppose to be good.
Diluted white Vinegar is also good.
We use baby wet wipes to get 'dirty bunny poo' off the carpet and they are brilliant.
For bunny wee we get some kitchen towel and put it over the wee and stand on the towel so that we can get as much of it up as we can and then I have a water spray and a spray of Astonish Shampoo for Carpets & Upholstery and I spray a little Astonish on the stain and then give a good spray of water so as not to take the colour out of the carpet. (our carpets are cream as well) Astonish Carpet Cleaner is not tested on animals and is also woolsafe approved.

Re: Carpet cleaning tips????
I find the AA carpet shampoo that is used to go into the VAX carpet cleaners really good as long as you dilute it well. 1001 used to do a liquid pet stain remover which is pretty effective as well.
Re: Carpet cleaning tips????
I use a biological stain and odour remover called TOTALCARE by Animalcare ltd. I get it at the vets and I've found its not only good at dealing with bunny-wet-spots on carpets but useful when cleaning littertrays. AND its great in smelly trainers!
