Giving Injections Empty Giving Injections

Post by Happy Hoppers Sun Jun 29, 2008 3:54 pm

After events with Callisto the other day I realised just how out of practice I was with my needle technique, the poor bunny must have felt like a pin cushion EmbarassedEmbarassed and now I have Lexie on Baytril Injections because of her weak tummy so she is getting the same raw deal.

I've never been squeamish about doing it but I feel like I have lost my confidence a little and was thinking about practicing on a teddy, as silly as it sounds. Any other idea's, I know practice makes perfect but when it hurts I'd rather get it right first time.

When I had to inject one of ours I used to do it while she was eating, happily she never seemed to notice.
