Re: chilli giving birth
She needs to see a vet ASP as one of her babies could be stuck, the Mother may need help to deliver her babies or else she may lose them all and may even go into shock with the strain and die herself, please tell them to get her to a Vet ASP

Re: chilli giving birth
we have just been on the phone to the emergency vet, he has said to leave her alone with no distractions for 2 hours as sometimes distractions can make them hold the babies till its quiet. so it was 6.30 when we rang ill leave her til 8 then ring again if nothing has happened x

I think I'd be worried in case one of her kit's is stuck I would just be worried that another 2 hours will be too late I'd be interested to see what others say as I could be wrong

Re: chilli giving birth
I hope she will be ok but I'm very worried about the rest of her kits as I personally think the vet should have seen her straight away and not given her another 2 hours to see if she gave birth
Good Luck I hope her kits are ok

Re: chilli giving birth
Just got back they are going to do an emergency c-section. Think emma nearly fell through the floor when they told her the price and thats just so far. she doesnt mind but didnt think it would cost so much.
you know, nee the wonder animals die in such agony charging ******* rediculus prices!!! sorry for the out burst but we have chewed our fingers down to the blooody knuckles after taking advice from vet after vet 4all together then rushing her over there, what a horrible time chilli has had been poked prodded 2 babies dying, another 2 inside gone traumatic car ride to be poked a bit more! barked at stupid ******* dogs in the waiting room im friggin fuming. Emma is shot to bit been in floods most of the day not knowing what to do then been told one thing after another.
................deep breath................
so after the op she will be at her normal vet practice kept in for a while so they can keep a eye on her, but i can assure you a strong worded letter will be sent in with the final cheque. Just hope she is ok xx

Re: chilli giving birth
Poor babies that have died and I dare say the rest will be dead as well. That vet should have seen her straight away instead of making her wait another 2 hours knowing she was struggling in labour.
Poor Rabbit hope she will be ok.

Re: chilli giving birth
Poor Chilli, and what an utterly stressful event for you all I have no idea why she was made to wait two hours, this is a good example of why rabbit mediine needs to be given the same accord as dog and cat medicine, it makes me so angry.
I hope Chilli recovers, how awful.
