I am currently bonding a single female to a male/female pair - so i am hoping they'll all be ok with it!!

It is a little more complex than a male/female bond but i am seeing progress.

Signs of bonding - or acceptance - include. At first ignoring each other and grooming themselves. Then grooming each other. Presenting themselves for grooming. Allowing mounting. Not fighting. It is always harder to introduce rabbits to a bonded pair.

Its just that Rose is in with Roman atm while its Thumpers turn to be out in the garden but Twinkle loves Roman as much as Rose. He does allow him to mount her (Twinkle), the other day when he was in with Twinkle she had her front leg round his neck looked like she was hugging him lol. Its just that Rose doesnt like anyone near her man but he nips her if she goes for Twinkle but then if she is fine with Twinkle he loves both I just dont think Rose likes sharing. Ive never seen them groom each other but they do use each other as a cussion. Looks sooooo lovley Love

If the are not fighting and all buns seem happy then things might well be fine in the long run.

I've always been lucky. I got Clawed as a lone doe and after a couple of years got Mr Starbuck and after he was neutered just popped them in the big (20ft x 20ft) pen together and it was LURVE!

When Mum and daughter, Toffee and Truffle, came along they also bonded with Starbuck, but not when Clawed was also in the run. Starbuck was good friends with Toff and Truff but kept his love for Clawed... she was the only doe he humped!

After Starbuck died I got Mr Toast O'Riley and whereas Starbuck had loved only Clawed, Riley loved only Truffle but he lived quiet happily as a three-some with her and his "mother-in-law".

I never tried running Clawed, Toffee and Truffle together.

The only problem I ever had was with Clawed and Riley. Riley worshipped Clawed but she hated his guts and would taunt him, running round the outside of the pen, with the wire between them, whilst he followed on the inside and then she would suddenly change at him, all fur fangs, claws and temper!
