How to make the livingroom rabbitproof, advice needed.
So, I'm planning on making the downstairs livingroom rabbitproof. The thing is that I'm stuck when it comes to a nice looking way to make my fireplace safe. The thing is that they can get under it, but they cant get back out. I've made a very nice drawing for you, to show what I mean.. XD Please no comments on the drawing.
I guess you understand it.. or I hope.. XD
Here's 3 pics of my fireplace.. any smart ideas of how I can somehow make it impossible for them to get under it? I've allready tried having a rabbit under there, Domino escaped the pen once and ended up under the fireplace... It took me about one hour to get him out.. no more!

Can you mould some wiremeld mesh to create a skirt around the bottom and stop them getting underneath. In my old house I had a woodburner set into a deep fireplace. I joined a couple of those foldable firescreens together to wrap around the stove which kept the buns out.

What about one of those large baby fireguards that go right round the fireplace nearly or buy a pets&home play pen and put it round the fireplace that's what we do at Christmas with the Christmas tree sometimes
