Cages and Runs Empty Cages and Runs

Post by Frog39 Mon Sep 05, 2011 10:17 am

Just wondering where you can get cages for the rabbits to play in. Thinking of getting a pipe to join their hutch/run to a cage to give them an extra space to play. I've seen photos on this and have lots of ideas - only problem is I could spend a fortune! Laughing

If you want lots of smaller runs like Vince the Bunny - https://happyhoppers.forumotion.co.uk/t12958-creating-a-warren - it may be more economical to buy a long length of pipe. They are perforated land drainage pipes and are available from DIY stores. If you only want a small length of tubes then Runaround sell them in 4ft and 8ft lengths. They also do the doors to attach the pipes to the runs and hutches. The runs using their doors they can be attached to any run with the use of a hacksaw and/or wire cutters. It is probably cheaper to buy runs on other sites. Plenty of them now sell the closed top wire runs. You will want to buy some tarps to keep the rain out as well. Browse the property ladder section and ask the people whose set ups you like how they did them.
