Bum scratching!

I have 2 outdoor buns, as you know, who both dont like being picked up or brushed

Flopsy loves a stroke all over but Flora wont let you touch her head at all

I have, however, found that both just absolutely love a bum scratch

I can stand outside their hutch with door open and with one hand on each bum can scratch forever

Just wondered if anyone else has buns who arnt really handleable but love their bums scratching

Thumper will let me (pretty much only me) handle her no problem, but she does enjoy a good bum scratch

Do they start grooming under their chins when you do it?

Well Flopsy just lays there while chilling out while i scratch his bum but Flora starts grooming herself all over

She even tries to groom where i'm scratching

Ive never tried tbh, I know willow loves her ribs tiggled as she starts to groom me when I do it, gizmo grooms me anyways. Twink likes a good stroke same with star and Thumper, but the rest either wont let me hold them or just doesnt like being held at all!

That's so funny! Bum scratches with the bear usually end up in a game of chase, he just starts binkying and hopping like a nutta!

will have to try that as snowflake hates been picked up/touched

hahaha yes Benezia doesn't mind us touching and petting her face, but she also like bum scratches and Garrus doesn't like us touching his face at all, but everywhere else is fine, but he stays the longest if we're scratching his bum so funny

Daisy is suspicious of a bun scratch....he suspects this is an attempt at grooming and will let me do it and enjoys it - until he remembers Im not allowed to do it. I can see him snap back into reality and then he hops off in disgust at what Im sure he see's as a cheap crafty trick!

[b]Jazz and Fizz dont like being stroked unless they are eating and then they are in so much bliss they dont notice. I will try the bum scratch and see what happens emmm might try it on the wife as well probably end up looking like a panda tomorrow

Ronnie grooms under his chin when I scratch his bum and soon as I stop he does, there must be a little pulley cord attached somewhere!

Vince likes his head and back stroked ,but not being picked up. As for bum scratches, I recently tried pulling his moulting fur from his bum as he had an impressive tu tu, but I think he thought I was trying to have a romantic interlude with him as he looked at me with disgust and hopped away:shock:



I will have to try it with Faline, the back end of her is all I see as she darts off down a tunnel when I approach
