Hector keeps scratching his ears and shaking his head
It's only been for today, but I think I'm going to take him to the vets tomorrow if I can get an appointment, just to get it checked out, otherwise I won't be able to take him until Thursday.
What do you guys think?

Re: Hector keeps scratching his ears and shaking his head
Hmm... I wondered if he maybe had a bit of hay (or similar!) in one of them.
Like Katie, I would get him to the vet just in case.

They are dubious....... Daisy wouldnt even entertain going into his hay basket at all when a small handful was in there (with his other hay) ...

Re: Hector keeps scratching his ears and shaking his head
Ooo not good signs!! Hector isn't too fussy about hay, he just likes it to be stalky. The hay for pets has fatter stalky pieces in, but it also had a lot of non stalky bits, this hay has thinner stalky pieces, but there's way more of them.

The patch that look's similar to eczema concern's me, just keep checking it everyday as it could be ear mite's and if
it is it will get worse.
Usually with ear mites it will have what look's like brown eczema inside the ear.

If he is still scratching and shaking his head I would Zo, scratching and shaking the head can be a sign of mites as well.

Re: Hector keeps scratching his ears and shaking his head
The vet said one of his ears looks quite dry and flaky, so I have some ear drops (canaural) it's pretty much treating him just in case. He said he'd rather treat it now and have it be unnecessary than not and have it get really bad. The lump on his penis was gone but he said it looked all fine down there!
