pecking order

So Ive let freida out with the rest of the ladies after monitoring her for the week ive had her and gerty is running up and nipping her then legging it, gerty has always been the bottom of the scale where the others are concerned and usualy is the last on in to be fed as they chase her off till they have had their fill. Im wondering is she trying to let freida know she is above her or do you think this is malicious??
