Rose doesnt like the house
Rose has been inside now for nearly 4 weeks after loosing one of the kits, most days if its to bad to put them out in the run I just leave the cage open for them to run about but rose never ever comes out, never.
The rest of the buns pop in some by mistake but dont seem upset where Rose just refuses to come out. I put some food outside the cage to tempt her out and she stretched as far as she could over the lip without touching the floor got the broc then pinged back in.
Any of yours like that?

Stewie loves our flat so much that he eats quite a lot of it!
Is the space outside the cage a laminate or viny/slippy floor? Some buns refuse to move on this surface, as there's no grip. I once went with Anne to a person's house where their rabbit refused to move from a rug in the middle of a laminate floor. We put other rugs down and she went loopy, hopping and bunkying around!

Yeah I thought it might be the laminate but thinking back she didnt come out when we had carpet neither, Ive put a rug out side her cage cos I thought she might wanna chill on it instead of the cage floor. I know she has never been a house bun and before me I think she only got out when the little girl wanted to stroke her or her babies.
Just a bit miffed as I thought she would come round to humans a bit more.

ok, that makes sense. I suspect she's built up a negative association with being outside the cage - the girl may well have mis-handled her. I would go for clicker training, or lure and reward training. Both require some time and patience. There's a really good guide to cliker training that Anne wrote for the RAW website here http://www.rabbitawarenessweek.co.uk/fun/how-to-clicker-train-your-rabbit (My Bertie is at the bottom of the page ) and stewie is doing Lure and reward in this video - from 7.50 onwards
Re: Rose doesnt like the house
Has Rose been on here???? because she decided to come out last night and binkied about the house which was unusual for her as she is so big and was slipping on the floor, we were so shocked!!! I wonder if its because she has been indoors for 2 days because of the bad weather??
