Rose was always the "boss" of the garden before she had the babies and she was dying to get out more often but Ive just went and put the babies in the hutch in the shed which is open day and night for them, and she is just sitting there I went to stroke her, which she usualy legs it or nudges me away and she sat and let me. Ive always had a sence of sadness about rose dunno why you can just see it in her eyes, and I try and give her everything she possibly needs, but there is always a achey feeling I get from her. With her not moving I know there is something up, she has a bite or claw wound on her back near the back end of her spine so she has obviously been in a scrap but Im not sure who with although poppy springs to mind as she is the new boss. When I find out who it is Ill put them away in the spare hutch for a while till things calm as I dont wanna put Rose away as she is old and was away for a long time with the kids only getting out occasionally in the garden as she is a nightmare to catch.

I think you should feed in multiple bowls to reduce aggression. They have to sort themselves out so removing Poppy is only eases your mind, it doesn't solve the problem. Once you let her out again she will fight to regain her place.

yeah true, poppy is massive now compared to when rose came indoors with the kits, dunno what breed poppy is but her head is like a 40 pund cabbage and she is only 18 weeks old lol.

Have you tried scattering the food all over the floor so they have to forage for it? This would keep them all busy whilst eating and makes them work a bit for their food...cheaper than buying new bowls too!

Also if Rose has been separated from the group, they may see her as a threat on their territory. So it's not surprising one of them has attacked her, maybe she needs to be reintroduced back into the group slowly and when you are monitoring it.

I dare not scatter the food anymoew as we have rats comming in from next door even though we have a humane trap there they are just to clever Twisted Evil . I used to do it on the grass but there would be loads left where now I know they eat it all.
And its a way to get them all in the shed at once so I can let the boys out without impregnating my females. I know rose is looking for company as she sits by ginges cage for him most of the day or Romans depending who is on the bottom bunk. Im gettin Roman done soon so I may pair her up and just have them 2 together. I dunno just a bit lost for her poor thing x
