The craziest thing you've known a rabbit do?
I think the maddest thing any of my buns have done was, strangely enough, done by Clawed.
Generally the cleverest of rabbits, one day she chose to investigate the etherial heights of the dining room chimney.
There was no fire (or she wouldn't have done it, I'm sure), it was the middle of summer and the grate was empty. Clawed hopped into the fire basket and before I could stop her she had squeased under the back boiler and was scrabbling up the chimney.
I had the Devils own job getting her out and we were both black and ill tempered when I did finally haul her ass back into the "real world".

My buns' compound has a chicken wire perimeter fence and it was strengthened by having another layer of wire added to make it higher, thus giving a double skin.
I caught both buns inside the double skin about halfway up eating the tops of the grass that grew up on the inside. They had managed to scrabble up the inside fence and reached a bit that was bent but about 2' lower than the outer skin. They sat on that and nibbled.
When I looked out of the kitchen window it looked like they were levitating!

Re: The craziest thing you've known a rabbit do?
Flo just has a strong urge to go up. She can escape from almost anywhere without a roof when she puts her mind to it. When young she got the hang of leaping straight over my shoulder onto the floor to escape when at the vets. Once she failed to clear the shoulder but instead used it as a springboard and ended up balanced precariously on top of the light box on the wall. She then slowly slipped off sideways. The vet was complately freaked out and said aren't you going to try and catch her? I said nope. I am not going to try and touch her until she calms down a bit here have Bruce instead! I just thought if she had damaged herself falling off the box we should let her show us in her own time. But miraculously she was fine.

Lexie once tried to eat a lit candle and singed all her whiskers. Not the brightest spark that one....
I also witnessed Caspian swing from the coffee table by his front paws for a split second as he tried to lick the edge of a glass of WKD blue before falling off.

Re: The craziest thing you've known a rabbit do?
It's not a rabbit tale, but my piggie Clarabel who gets herself in a bit of a tis at the best of times often goes into complete panic when free ranging in the garden. She remembers the layout as she thinks it should be and looses the ability to see what is in front of her. As a result she has gone head first into objects at high speed as she has failed to notice that they are there!

Cheryl.... piggies aren't known for their brains... my dear Mrs Avery had the most wonderful singing voice, almost operatic, but she never could get the idea that the piggie house had 2 doors and I always had to open the sleeping quarters with extreme care, she was bound to be perched butt first tight against it. Once she went flying when thus perched she was barged into my her partner, Bandit. Even then she didn't learn.

I have to remove Catsknickers Easter from her chimney before, in my PJ's which needless to say were also blackened by the time we'd finished retrieving her!

for some reason Garrus just loves hanging out in our trash can we thought it was because if the banana peels ect that we threw away, so we use another bucket for that now, but still every time we can't find G he's almost always in the bin

Nagila... how the hell does he get in there? I see you're from the Netherlands so your name for the item might differ from ours so is it a household waste bin or an old fashioned dust bin or the new wheelie bin? Please don't tell me it's the latter.... if it is I think you may have a case of mistaken identity and Garrus is not a rabbit but a short tailed Kangaroo!
