Being brave - wish me luck!!
Since we moved in June, thumper rarely uses her litter tray. We have cream carpets so from day 1 I put shower curtains down to protect them, and she wees all over them. And then sits in it!
I have tried retraining her but it just wasn't happening. She's an old lady bless her Today I decided enough was enough, something needs to change. So.... this evening, NO shower curtain, only two of her towels (which she's had all along)
It was so funny when I took her down stairs, she walked around really slowly, looking at me as if to say, 'ok, where is it???'
So far we've got plenty poos lying around - this I can live with, just sweep up a few times - BUT we have had one wee in the litter tray
This all came about because we were chilling out on the sofa the other day and she suddenly wanted down -there and then. She ran straight over to the litter tray, had a wee and ran right back. So I knew then that she KNOWS what it's for.
I'm scared to take my eyes off her

She probably knew the shower curtain was water proof and looked on it as alright for her to pee on. I get the impression Thumper isn't daft!
