yeah its still nice and pink, warm and I can see the white bit where the milk must be, and I watched her feed it yesterday but again this morning it was out without any bedding around it on the other side of the cage x

Re: Rose put the baby in the food bowl!
Baby should be snuggled up in the bedding all nicely covered up to keep warm.
Did you handle the baby at all because human scent on the kit can sometimes make the Mother reject them. If she has taken it out of the nest you will have to gently put the baby back in the nest as Mum won't. If you can use disposable gloves to stop your scent and when you get it back it the nest or nesting box rub the kit with some of Mums fur.
I'm hoping that Mum is not rejecting baby as long as she is feeding it that is ok.
Let us know how Mum and Baby go on.

Well the baby has remained in the nest all day, what I did do is put more kitchen roll in as there was no bedding at all in and there realy wasnt much fur at all. Rose has totaly trashed her cage today litter tray all over everything!
Re: Rose put the baby in the food bowl!
Has she only got the one baby or is she singling this one out?
