Thumper's sore tail :(

This is the injury that made me faint at the vet.

My poor baby

It's not hanging off thankfully. It doesn't seem to be bothering her now either. I think it was sore the first few days. This is it 4 days on. Poor girl

Poor thumper. I cant believe the vet cut her. She is such a lovely lady, this really is the last thing she needs.

Thumper is showing no signs of discomfort from her tail now, which is great.

The day after she was chittering her teeth so I think it was a bit sore

We have the vet at 5.30pm tomorrow, so will let you know how we get on.

Was she being shaved?
I'm taking Lilly for her lady bits and rear shaving as she is always wet, on friday
I was going to start a thread to see if anyone has it done with out general (she has had it done before but she was asleep).
But if thats what your Thumper was having done I don't know whether to now!

Yeh, I took her there coz she had a soggy, smelly back end but he actually cut her with scissors not the clippers.

Thumper has had it done several times without GA and has been absolutely fine. I guess we were just unlucky last week

Lilly will let you know in plenty time if she's not going to stand for it Is she quite tolerant?

We are just back from the vet and the wound is healing nicely

Oh and "there's no charge tonight"

We have got to leave her, which I don't want to do and then they are phoning me.
She is a good little bun and doesn't struggle when I'm cleaning her.
I will make sure that they don't use scissors.

Quite right too! A bit of a job creation plan that, eh! Injure your patients then fix em up and charge their owners.
