Hay quality? Empty Hay quality?

Is anybody finding that the quality of normal meadow hay is getting bad? Or was it just the shop I bought it from- it's really brittle and hard confused

I suppose I have never bought hay from there before so can't really tell Embarassed from now on I'll stick with my usual supplier lol.
I am quite annoyed though £3 for a small bag of spiky hard hay Sad

For £2 i get a bale of hay that will last me ages with my buns (horses)
But at a place near me (we ran out at the stables) they sold a very good quality greenish hay for £4.50, and even though it's more expensive than usual it'll still be cheaper than buying those little bags.
Do you have any farmshops near you?

no but I can buy some from the stables I help out at Very Happy
But it's not too good at the moment because the barn roof is leaking so it's ok for horses but not for bunnies Sad

The only horse feed merchant I know of only sells that Norfolk Pastures Dust Free stuff which I have found can be quite sharp and full of splinters.
I can get really nice green stuff from a local shop Very Happy
